- Working on the legacy storefront to add new features that have been shown to drive revenue including a new “Top Sellers” window shade, a “Top Sellers” block on product pages, a “Recently Viewed Products” block all build using jQuery and jQuery UI as well as other plugins that are completely front-end and use cookies to grab the necessary information and then renders it dynamically using Javascript/JSON
- Optimizing the page load times by minifying and combining JS/CSS files, pushing them to Amazon S3 / Cloudfront servers, and creating conditional includes so that they are served properly: gzipped if possible (not natively supported by either S3 or CF) and making https requests come strictly from S3 as CF does not support this yet
- Using Keynote services to monitor uptime and load times to know what needs to be optimized and keep page load times to a minimum
